I could not believe my luck when I found this vintage wash stand at my local thrift store for only $20. Best of all the whole piece had already been stripped and was raw wood, just a blank canvas.
Now it might surprise you to learn that I love the look of wood. Most of the furniture I get the wood cannot be restored and I have to paint them, but anytime I can save the wood I do.
Lately, I have been really enjoying lighter wood colors and knew the perfect stain to use on on this project. In fact it was a stain AND top coat in one. One step finish. I decided to use Sweet Pickins Dark Oil Wax.
